About The Role
Agile Coach encourages, empowers, and coaches both leadership and Agile teams. The Agile Coach will coach all team members formally and informally (with a keen focus on the organization's Scrum Masters and Product Owners), striving to unlock the potential and curiosity in everyone. The Agile Coach will embrace change while acting as a defender of Agile methodologies and evangelize core Agile principles in the organization.
Key Skills Domain Expertise : Significant experience acting as a servant leader in a fast moving tech environment Deep knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt their experience to new and evolving environments Experience with large scale software delivery and/or Agile transformation at scale in large enterprise organizations Passion for driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality craftsmanship that delights users
Agile/Digital Experience : Experience implementing and coaching Agile Experience leading (and ideally transforming) design organizations within IT or 'tech-first' organizations Experience making teams accountable and motivated to strive for continuous improvement

Educate Colleagues: The Agile Coach must educate employees at all levels, including senior, and at times partner, on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work. They provide training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities - Build and coach multiple high performing agile development teams
- Teaching and Mentoring Agile Teams
- Enables the transition to Agile by empowering teams to develop an Agile mindset
- Coach and Mentor Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
- Train Teams to enable teams to transition to an Agile way of working.
- Engage with the entire organization system and the Leaders who guide them
- Look for ways to strengthen team's understanding of Agile, e.g., Scrum concepts and principles
- Teach, mentor and improve Agile practices across the organization
- Evolve the ways of working based on the nature of work
- Coach and train senior leadership on building an Agile enterprise that is more focused on business value, driving outcomes, and a faster time to market
- Drive consistent behaviours across the organization by standing up a community of practice
- Bring transparency to the organization about development and grow trust
- Monitor health of the collective team, checking that commitments, pace and quality are on track then help the team understand how to inspect & adapt where needed
- Empower leadership teams in building, growing, and sustaining a thriving Agile community
- Coach the product team to identify trade-offs between short and long term benefits to drive shared vision between the team
- Foster a continuous learning environment, pressure and embrace the uncomfortable, and help teams to inspect & adapt
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering, Computer applications or related field
- Masters preferred
- Other certifications in Agile methodologies and in Project Management are a plus
Role Proficiencies: 2-5 years in Agile Coach position applying Agile practices and principles including SAFe, Scrum and/or Kanban including demonstrated ability to inspect and adapt Agile practices to various situations
- 2-5 years in Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Lean Role
- Prior experience in fast-paced Agile environment is critical to planning and overseeing day-to-day development activities, managing work against competing deliverables
- 2-5 years successful experience using Agile framework, preferably in role of Iteration Manager
- Excellent written and verbal communication, high energy, and enthusiasm
- An agile coach certification will help validate your skills in the field:
- Prefer certification in one or more: PMI-ACP, ICP-ACC, CEC and SAFe
- Flexible work and leadership style to maximize team performance
- High level of technical familiarity with distributed systems and web technologies
- Superb communication skills and presentation skills will be integral to conducting iteration planning meetings, hosting demonstrations, and facilitating retrospectives with team members and stakeholders.
