Summary of the position :-
As an Automation & Digital Factory Engineer the incumbent for this position will be part of a fast-paced, global team to design, develop, test, and integrate innovative software and hardware solutions in the fields of automation and robotics. In this role, the candidate will have countless opportunities to leverage as well as develop your skills, and experiences by exploring new technologies and support TDK factories across the globe.
Job Responsibilities:-
- Simulation of production machines from concept to integration phase in active collaboration with TDK production engineering departments.
- Establishing a simulation-first development workflow, reducing the efforts and costs during construction, testing and commissioning phase.
- Development and integration of Digital Twin technologies to further increase the availability and reduce the maintenance costs production assets at TDK factories.
- Providing related trainings to develop inhouse capabilities for TDK manufacturing sites.
- Support TDK factories regarding robotic systems from testing and piloting to (virtual) commissioning.
- Collaborate globally with engineering and operations departments.
- Occasional trips to Europe and Asia as possible due to travel restrictions.
Requirements:-
- Strong experience in Robotics (3-5 years of experience are a must), including design, programming and safe integration of Robotic Systems
- Experience in Process Automation, including PLC programming (e.g. Siemens), motion control, sensing and positioning systems
- Understanding of Industrial data exchange protocols as EtherCat, Profinet, OPC UA etc.
- Software development skills and proficiency in Python
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Proficiency in C++ and/or ROS (Robot Operating System) is a plus
- Experience with simulation tools for production systems like e.g. Visual Components is a plus
- Experience with Linux operating system is a plus
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, troubleshoot problems, and identify solutions.
Qualification / Experience:-
B.E. / M.E. in Electrical / Electronics with 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.
