About the Position: Accountant will primarily be responsible for Accounts payable, Accounts receivable and General Accounting for entities based out in Europe.
Primary Responsibilities: - Receive vendor documents, process, and record bookkeeping into the accounting system.
- Execute Accounts Payable processing fully in accordance with the defined and agreed Standard Operating Procedures
- Record sales, monitor processing of invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the local requirements.
- Provide accounting support to the Accounting Supervisor based out in Europe.
- Prepare account reconciliations; research and resolve variances.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end tasks to facilitate a timely financial close.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, as appropriate.
- Assist with special projects, as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Graduate in commerce/ CA inter
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in accounting and closing. Candidate having experience of supporting onshore teams in Europe will be preferred.
- Must have Microsoft Excel working knowledge.
- Familiarity and experience with finance and reporting systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with overseas team based out of different countries.
Preferred Qualifications: - Preferred experience with NetSuite accounting system
