We are seeking an experienced SAP Developer with expertise in ABAP, SAP CDS view development, and SAP API OData services. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing SAP solutions to meet business requirements and enhance overall system performance.
Responsibilities
ABAP Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting of existing ABAP code to resolve issues and optimize performance.
• Stay updated on the latest ABAP technologies and best practices.
SAP CDS View Development:
• Design and implement SAP Core Data Services (CDS) views to provide a unified and consistent view of data across the organization.
• Collaborate with data modelers and business analysts to define data models and CDS views based on business requirements.
• Optimize CDS views for performance and efficiency.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity through effective use of CDS views.
SAP API OData Services Development:
• Develop and maintain SAP API OData services to enable seamless data integration between SAP and external applications.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using SAP Gateway and OData protocols.
• Collaborate with external system owners to define API requirements and specifications.
• Implement security measures for API services and ensure compliance with industry standards.
3. Integration and Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, business analysts, and system administrators, to ensure successful integration of SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners on integration projects.
• Provide technical expertise and support for integration-related issues.
4. Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ABAP programs, CDS views, and API OData services.
• Document development standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.
5. Performance Optimization:
• Identify and implement performance optimization techniques for ABAP programs, CDS views, and API OData services.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and make recommendations for improvements.
6. Continuous Learning:
• Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies, tools, and development methodologies.
• Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an ABAP Developer, with a strong understanding of SAP development principles.
• Experience in designing and implementing SAP CDS views.
• Proficiency in developing SAP API OData services using SAP Gateway.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• SAP certification in ABAP development.
• Experience with SAP Fiori development.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and development.
