Job description
Our Buyer Platform technology team is building an advertising optimization platform which will be key to the growth of advertiser budgets on PubMatic’s Activate product. We are looking for people who are performance-oriented, self-motivated, and can contribute to multiple code bases in a variety of contexts as needed to deploy the solutions we develop. Experience with optimization techniques, randomized control trials, and Ad-tech (particularly real-time systems) is greatly preferred.
Responsibilities: Advanced working experience in Golang , Linux/UNIX environment. Good to have experience on C/C++. Exposure to Google (any other) Cloud Services platform. Experience working in Kubernetes (k8s) platform is highly preferred. Experience working in Agile development projects is preferable. Excellent understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms . Excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of OS and system programming (multi-threading, multi-processing, memory management) Troubleshoot any issues with existing features, live on production. Ability to write clean, modular, and loosely coupled code. Ability to understand end-to-end product functionality. Ability to do software design for assigned tasks. Working knowledge of scripting Perl/Python/Shell. Working experience in databases, preferably PostgreSQL . Work closely with team members to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development. Requirements: Use best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work. Demonstrated ability to self-direct and work independently. Demonstrate work ownership and focus to do deliver on time. Mentor, groom, and guide junior team members on technical front. Willing to go extra mile to achieve greater results. Work with teams to achieve desired goals. Demonstrate timely and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
