The Opportunity:
- HSBC is looking for [Analyst/Associate] in the Regional Sustainability Team within Asia Commercial Banking (CMB) in Bangalore. The purpose of this role is to accelerate CMB's sustainability business through supporting our business and clients through their transition journey whilst originating and structuring sustainable financing and non-financing solutions.

- The role holder will work with the Regional Sustainability Team, and key partners to engage on sustainable financing and non-financing solutions. The role is expected to be geographically aligned to primarily support ASP CMB markets.
What you'll do:
In this role, you will:
- Research on sector thematics
- Develop sales enablement materials and pitches to facilitate Sustainability business development, including:
- Sustainable Financing Credentials,
- Generic pitchbook materials,
- Sector materials
- Mapping of key transition thematic ecosystems (e.g. EV, batteries, solar, etc)
- Specific client pitch materials (for large transition clients)
- Sales enablement materials such as KPI library for Sustainability Linked structures
- Develop portfolio and business insights such as sector pivot analysis and identify client specific financing opportunities by reviewing completed TEQs (Transition Engagement Questionnaires) and other data sources,
- Develop and prepare qualitative and quantitative analysis independently leveraging external and internal data sources as required
- Take ownership of work done and have high execution capabilities
- Lead specific projects as required
- The role is part of GBM Service Center and based at Bangalore
Qualifications
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Strong understanding of commercial banking products and services and prior knowledge in ESG, sustainable finance products or transactions an advantage
- Strong business acumen and communication skills with customer centric mindset,
- Passionate about the ESG agenda
- Good understanding of creating strategic insights using available data internally and from external sources to help identify business development opportunities
- Very strong analytical and presentation skills, with excellent grasp of PowerPoint / excel / word and ability to distil large quantities of information into key themes / issues
- Be able to work effectively under pressure and with multiple stakeholders
- Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
- Traits: Highly motivated; strong work ethic; thrives under pressure, confident, team player
Requirements
- Exceptionally qualified Graduates from B-schools (with good CGPA score) or CA's with Big four (E&Y, PWC, Deloitte, KPMG) experience.
