Responsibilities - Job responsibility includes study the drawings, making RFQs, receiving offers, evaluation of offers technically and commercially, discussion with technical team as per requirement, negotiation, place of PO in ERP, follow up and expediting, co-ordination with Inspection and Expediting team members, fast problem solving, payment process.
- Procurement of technological equipment with fabrication, machining, assembly including on board items as and when required.
- Procurement of bought out items, systems, packages and catalogue items.
- Market Analysis and development of new suppliers and establish new supply chain.
- Calculation and Analysis of overall cost break up of an equipment during ordering.
- Evaluation of the supplier's performances
- Supplier Clain Management
Technical Requirements - B.E / B.Tech or Diploma (Mechanical / Metallurgy)
- Knowledge of materials in Mechanical, Fluids, Electrical and Instrumentation items.
- Idea on material standards, forging and casting items
- Steel industry equipment manufacturing knowledge preferred from Long / Flat Product, Steel Melting, Galvanizing, Colour coating lines etc.
- Project Procurement background with relevant experience.
- May have inspection / quality background also.
