Job description

We are looking for a skilled SAP Project System (PS) Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and optimizing SAP PS solutions to support our clients' project management and execution needs. Your expertise in SAP PS modules and project management processes will be essential in delivering successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project System Configuration and Implementation:

1. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with clients and project managers to gather and understand project management requirements, including project structures, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project planning.

2. SAP PS Solution Implementation: Configure SAP PS modules to align with client-specific project management processes, including project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and monitoring.

3. Project Structures: Set up project structures, WBS elements, networks, and activities to facilitate project tracking and reporting.

4. Project Planning: Implement project planning tools and methodologies within SAP PS, including scheduling, milestone tracking, and critical path analysis.

5. Resource Management: Configure resource management functionalities to allocate and track resources efficiently across projects.

6. Budget Management: Establish project budgets, cost centers, and cost planning processes to monitor project financials.

7. Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP Finance, SAP Materials Management) and external project management tools as needed.

8. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, and user manuals.

Project Monitoring and Reporting:

1. Project Tracking: Implement project tracking mechanisms to monitor project progress, costs, and timelines.

2. Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain project performance reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with real-time project insights.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

1. Data Validation: Implement data validation rules and processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of project data.

2. Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of SAP PS solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to verify functionality and accuracy.

Documentation and Support:

1. Training: Provide end-user training and support, assisting with issue resolution, troubleshooting, and query handling.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Process Optimization: Stay updated on SAP PS best practices, new features, and project management standards, and make recommendations for process improvements to enhance project execution efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP Project System (PS) implementation and support.
• Proficiency in configuring SAP PS modules, including project structures, resource management, and budget management.
• Strong understanding of project management processes and methodologies.
• Knowledge of SAP integration techniques and familiarity with other SAP modules.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• SAP certification in SAP Project System (PS) is a plus.
