Supporting Actions
Planning & Budgeting
- Participate in meetings with various stakeholders to understand the mining requirements as per CMR-2017
- Provide inputs to DH Survey for preparing detailed survey plan and budget requirements
- Track expenses and maintain a record and submit on a regular basis.
Survey Execution and Monitoring
- Conduct various types of surveys like traverse surveys, offset surveying, and spot level measurements to accurately map underground workings, assess distances, and record dimensions of mine workings.
- Establish and maintain survey stations and bench marks, correlating underground measurements with surface features to maintain accuracy of plans and sections as per provisions of CMR 2017
- Establish baseline pillars and boundary markers to provide accurate reference points for surveys and ensure property limits are well-defined.
- Conduct DGPS surveys and oversee boundary pillar placement to maintain precise location data and clearly mark boundaries
- Study the survey results and provide inputs to draftsman for creation of accurate plans and sections as per provisions of CMR 2017
- Survey inclines and ventilation shafts and suggest adjustments or changes to mining plans and sections based on findings. Ensure all amendments to plans and sections are submitted basis ongoing surveys
- Ensure calibration of surveying instruments for accurate measurements
- Keep accurate records of all survey data, reports, and maps for future reference and compliance purposes. Maintain Field Book, Level Book, and all record books as per the provisions of Coal Mine Regulations 2017
- Conduct routine surveys to calculate the volume of excavated coal and waste rock, ensuring accurate measurements and record-keeping for checking the bills and submission to DH Survey
- Perform weekly stockpile surveys and monthly reconciliations to match coal stock measurements with surface stock and production records from shift operations.
- Conduct survey of exploratory boreholes for potential coal reserves and prepare documentation work for obtaining necessary approvals and permissions for new mining lease / proposed panels.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety compliances as per provisions of CMR 2017 while surveying
- Perform safety assessments during surveys to identify and promptly report any potential hazards or instability within the mine to DH Survey for suitable interventions for ensuring a safe working environment as per provisions of CMR 2017.
Continuous Improvement
- Suggest improvement ideas for efficiency and accuracy of survey operations to DH Survey
- Perform root cause analysis for any deviations observed with guidance from Dh Survey
- Implement CAPA for all deviations.
People Development
- Identify training needs for development of Chain man and Survey helpers.
Qualification: Surveyor certificate of competency (Coal)
Work Experience: 3-5 years of working experience
