Job description
Key-skills:
• CATIA V5 / GD&T / Tolerance Stack up
• Sheet metal/plastics/Foam
• Seat suspension design
• Kinematics
• Mechatronics
• Benchmarking / Product designing
Product Experience & Technical Expertise:
• Kinematics – Linkage mechanism/Actuator design
• Seat Suspension – Commercial vehicle or Off Road tractor seats
• Knowledge on air spring, damper, seat compressor
• Knowledge on Plastics and sheet metal design
• Basic electronic knowledge
• Possess knowledge of seat Testing, Validation, and Regulatory (Seating) Standards
Role & responsibility:
• To understand the Customer requirement / RFQ and make a concept design in Seating System
• New mechanism design for seating application by benchmarking the global competitor seat
• Release preliminary BOM to costing cell
• Benchmarking analysis, VA/VE analysis
• Design the product from concept level to working model (i.e., from scratch of design to concept to proto sample to final drawing release for SOP)
• Patent study
• Smooth handover of the product to NPD Engineering Team after SOPP+6months
