Self-driven Strong Azure Cloud Engineer who can perform Platform Engineering, Integration, Promoting Engineering culture and Migration of Cloudera Bigdata Tenants to UBS strategic platform on Azure Cloud, Databricks and Cloudera Cloud in a fast paced and regulated environment

The successful candidate will join the Group Functions, Core Engineering, Data & AI (CEDA) team in Pune, as Cloud Engineer. The main function of this job is to Implement and deliver high quality soft-ware solutions and components for the CEDA platform that conform to architectural standards. Lev-erage expertise to mentor and lead developers. Leverage latest tools and technologies to increase team productivity and collaboration across teams. developing and delivering solutions that accelerate the 'Speed of Confidence of Delivery to Produc-tion

Your skills and experience

We are seeking hardworking, experienced Cloud Engineer to join a growing, high-visibility cross-Bank team that is developing and deploying solutions to some of Credit Suisse's most important analytical problems

  • Develop a detailed migration plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies for Cloud assessment. Evaluate the compatibility of applications with Azure ser-vices and determine the best migration approach (lift-and-shift, re-platform, refactor). Identify applications, workloads, databases, and dependencies that need to be migrated. Estimate the cost of migration and ongoing operation in Azure
  • Set up Azure accounts and subscriptions required for hosting the applications. Configure Azure Virtual Networks, security groups, VPN connections, or ExpressRoute for connectivity. Set up Azure Active Directory for managing access controls and authentication.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehousing solu-tions like Azure SQL data warehouse.
  • Experience in Denodo, setting up environment, data architecting and recommending schema structure, creating view over HIVE and RDBDM etc.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices
  • Use Azure Data Factory, Azure Database Migration Service, or other relevant tools to migrate databases to Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, or other appropriate Azure data ser-vices for Data Migration
  • Depending on the application type, use Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, or manual methods to migrate virtual machines or applications to Azure for Application Migration
  • Create Azure Databricks workspace and clusters based on workload requirements. Move rel-evant data to Azure Data Lake Storage or other data sources compatible with Azure Data-bricks. Adapt existing code or scripts to work within the Azure Databricks environment.
  • Use tools like Azure Resource Manager templates, Azure CLI, or PowerShell or Terraform to define and automate the infrastructure deployment. Implement tools like Azure Automation, Ansible to automate configuration tasks.
  • Set up data pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools to automate application deploy-ment and updates.
  • Ensure that migrated applications and databases function correctly in the Azure environment. Validate performance metrics and optimize configurations for better performance.
  • Configure Azure Monitor and other relevant monitoring tools to track application perfor-mance, resource usage, and security. Continuously optimize resources and configurations to reduce costs while maintaining performance.
  • Document the entire migration process, configurations, and best practices for future refer-ence. Provide training to the operations and development teams on managing and utilizing Azure services effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop stack. You are proficient in Python, Ansible, DevOps, Linux and BASH scripting.
  • Should be a L3 support role resolving complex technical issues.
  • Good communication and collaborations skills to work with different stakeholders, including data scientists, analysts and business users
  • You bring 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT at a global organization with recent 5+ years in design, integration and migration of on-premises data analytics and data warehouse applications on Azure and Data Bricks
