About this role :Gartner seeks a Senior Security Engineer to maintain systems security and manage various security solutions within a top-tier Enterprise Security Team. Your expertise in Zscaler, network security, data protection, and cloud-based security will be essential in protecting Gartner's assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information. To enhance collaboration, we seek candidates interested in aligning their work schedule with US morning hours, as this shift will enable effective collaboration and support our international team.What you will do :- Manage and monitor Zscaler's comprehensive security solutions (ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX) and network proxies, ensuring both secure internet access and comprehensive threat protection.- Manage data protection measures, including data loss prevention (DLP) solutions and cloud access security brokers (CASB).- Configure and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).- Deploy and manage host-based and endpoint security solutions to protect endpoints and servers.- Evaluate and implement cloud-based security solutions to secure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments like AWS and Azure.- Establish and maintain secure remote access solutions to enable secure connectivity for remote workers.- Stay up to date with the latest security technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvement and enhancement of security controls.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation plans.- Collaborate with other Enterprise Security Engineers to design, implement, and maintain security solutions across the organization.- Participate in security incident response activities and provide technical expertise during security incidents.- Document security processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.What you will need :- Strong security engineer professional with 4-6 years' experience of working on IT security projects in a fast-paced, time-bound environment.Must have :- Strong knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, including TCP/IP, SSL, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NACLs, certificates, encryption, routing, switching, etc.- Solid understanding of proxies, firewalls, zero trust networks, and VPNs.- Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure (IaaS) in Azure and AWS, active directory, host-based firewall, and CASB.- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), anti-virus, etc.- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with technical and business audiences.- Proficiency in documentation and creating network/workflow/UML/Data flow diagrams.- Skilled in technical troubleshooting across various aspects of security and network infrastructure.- Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions or escalations with minimal supervision in a dynamic and globally distributed team environment.- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Nice to have :- Additional certifications or training in relevant security domains.- Strong scripting/development skills in languages like Python, PowerShell, etc.- Experience with other security technologies and frameworks such as EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), vulnerability management, etc.- Familiarity with cloud-native security tools and services.- Knowledge of container security and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).- Understanding of identity federation protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth).Who you are :- Graduate/post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.- Proven experience in implementing and managing security solutions in a corporate environment.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.- Self-motivated and driven to stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.- Detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining a high level of accuracy in security assessments and documentation.- Strong commitment to professionalism, ethics, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing security landscape.
