Position Summary

The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for the direction and continuous development of all Talent Acquisition (TA) related activities across India. These TA activities are intended to ensure that Worley has the optimal resource profiles for current and long term needs through the delivery of strategic TA services that match resource supply with business demand. The Director TA, India will have responsibility for defining the TA Strategy within the region (in line with Global TA Strategy and as part of country specific People Plans) and accountability for the end-to-end TA Process and its outcomes. The Talent Acquisition Director will be responsible to the business and the relevant Executive team for the timeliness, cost and quality of Full Time, Fixed Term, Contingent/Contract, Graduate, Intern, Apprentice and Executive hires. The Director, Talent Acquisition role forms a key part of the Global TA Leadership Team and requires close partnership with People Leaders across the region. In partnership with the relevant Global TA Team members, the Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for directing all TA transformation initiatives across the region (People/Process/Tools) and ultimately ensuring best in class TA delivery for the region as part of the wider Global TA function.

Essential Functions And Key Areas Of Responsibility

Transformation

  • Direct the deployment of new Talent Acquisition model across the India region thereby ensuring that Worley has the right people, in the right place, at the right time to execute its strategy.
  • Build a regional team that is based upon a 'Direct Sourcing' approach and works seamlessly with both the broader Global Talent Acquisition Team, the People Team and external Partners
  • Ensure that a consistent and standardized approach is used within the region. This is to be in alignment with Worley's future Global Talent Acquisition Operating model.
  • Manage the deployment of all TA transformation projects within the region as part of the transformation initiative, acting as a change agent and advocate for the new delivery model. Partnering with the local People Teams and serve as a key interface to help embed the updated TA delivery model.
  • Drive adoption of new and existing technology platforms to ensure continuous improvement and elevation of the service delivery model and serve as TA steward for new technology platform deployments.

Leadership

  • The role has two key areas of focus, the first is directing the Indian TA team and the second is as part of the Global TA Management team, helping to strengthen and advance Worley's global approach to recruitment.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and drive Global TA Strategy including influencing key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to adopt new processes, tools and behaviors.
  • Direct all TA related engagements and partner with appropriate members of the business to shape and deliver an optimal service whilst maintaining focus on a standardized approach.
  • Manage a team of individual contributors with varying capabilities, while ensuring timely and effective TA delivery.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to the India TA Advisors, People Team, and key stakeholders on all areas of TA activity.
  • Partner with Functional Teams to drive continuous improvement in the Quality, Speed and Cost of Hiring.

Resource Planning

  • Regularly engage with business leaders and based on the 3-year growth strategy and yearly business plan decide the resource strategy for the business
  • Act as a key strategic business interface with key stakeholders across the region, ensuring that TA has a clear view on upstream activities and potential resource needs at all times (critical programs + regular hiring activities).
  • Present analysis of key headcount trending, Full Time, Contingent/Contract, Early Careers (Interns/Graduates) and external market data at required resource planning meetings to inform TA make / buy decisions.
  • Partner with the relevant TA Global Team members to obtain key market research information/business intelligence to feel into the resource planning activities taking place within the India region.
  • Provide market data and evaluation to support annual long- and medium-term strategic business planning processes.

Contingent TA

  • Manage and drive performance of all Contingent/Contract delivery models (MSP/RPO) operating within India perimeter and act as final escalation pint for all non-permanent TA issues.
  • Working in partnership with Global TA to set the strategic direction of contingent, ensuring the business is acquiring non-permanent resource at the optimal quality, cost, time and risk.

Early Careers

  • As part of the Global TA approach, design and implement an Early Careers strategy focused on building future leaders from initiation through delivery for the region. Program initiatives include onboarding, rotation solicitation and placement, performance management, training and development, etc.
  • Set KPI's and ensure a measurable and strong ROI on all Early Careers activity. In co-ordination with Global TA, create and deliver a University Relations strategy to support brand awareness, intern programs and broader country strategic goals

Selection

  • Implement and drive continuous improvements with the new Global TA Delivery Model
  • Personally accountable for ensuring candidates (internal/external) are assessed in a consistent, repeatable and measurable manner at all times within India.
  • Work with the Global TA organization to ensure that the Assessment & Selection approach is fit for purpose within the region and that the latest and most efficient technology platforms form part of the process.
  • Ensure all interviewers/assessors are thoroughly trained in the use of Worley Assessment & Selection methodology.

Employer Branding

  • Working in partnership with Global TA and Communications, help to develop employer brand awareness within the region and ensure that Worley is well placed with external audiences. Ensure employer brand integrity is always upheld through management of activities.
  • Focus on developing brand awareness across the region and any specific audiences relevant to our business requirements.
  • Work with Communications and Marketing Group to ensure employer brand is developed and well executed within the region.
  • Ensure that the country/regional managers utilize multi-channel media campaigns that encompasses traditional print, online and social media for appropriate hiring activities.
  • Ensure success metrics are defined at the start of each campaign and measure and amend strategies to meet the required objectives to ensure maximum ROI.

Projects

  • Initiate, gain approval for and act as the Project Director or Sponsor for the delivery of improvement projects in line with the successful delivery of business objectives.
  • Act as a key change agent for all TA/People projects

Essential

Qualifications and Key Requirements

  • Proven success at developing, mentoring, and managing high performing teams (25+ Heads) across large culturally complex regions.
  • Proven track record with programs and major transformation initiatives with Talent Acquisition.
  • Extensive background from the Talent Acquisition (In-House & Search) space.
  • Strong understanding and interest in Talent Acquisition Technology, Branding and market trends.
  • Experience managing large local & remote team members in a complex matrix environment.
  • Able to model desired behaviors in a corporate environment, therefore must have held a principal role in a large multinational company.
  • Able to positively influence at all levels of an organization up to VP & C level, and to develop valued relationships with Senior Executives, Managers and Candidates alike.
  • Strong analytical skills, fluent in the development and use of metrics.
  • Able to demonstrate positive stakeholder engagement across HR, Finance and Operations functions.
  • Strong Cultural awareness and ability to adapt approach across countries.

  • Experience of the Engineering and Technology skills market from the Engineering, Procurement, Construction sectors

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in Talent Acquisition.
