Job description

Position Description The role will be a senior role within the Deployment Team, providing leadership, vision, project/program management and governance including the support and ongoing improvement of the governance framework. The ideal candidate will possess leadership and management skills in leading internal and external project teams, contingent/contract workers, as well as providing relationship management services and oversight on services rendered by strategic partners and service providers. He/she will be instrumental in enabling the program management and the successful delivery of next generation network solutions, acting as an agent of change to achieve the strategic goals of the organization.

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the initiation, planning, day to day running and closing of projects. This includes:

Engage and communicate effectively and successfully with all stakeholders from high frequency trading teams. Discuss requirements and define the solution working with other IT teams. Define, plan, document and communicate project scope, implementation, closure and timelines. Implement projects to the required level of quality! Manage a project through its lifecycle, coordinating all input from IT teams. Report on project status using suitable reporting tools. Effectively and proactively manage and report on all project risks (including contingency planning), taking corrective action where necessary. Solicit and gain buy-in from project stakeholders to project approach and delivery objectives. Undertake post project quality reviews. Work with technical staff & resources as required. The post holder will be required to manage several projects at any one time. The nature of projects within the Network Project Services group is international, and project stakeholders will generally be based in various offices around the world. The post is primarily a project management role with excellent network and cloud understanding in order to deliver, communicate and define solutions.

People Management Planning, leading, and manage teams responsible for projects, consisting of permanent members of staff, vendors staff and contract staff.

Experience/ Exposure Skills and Experience: 5 years’ experience of managing infrastructure projects in a financial services institution, specifically in Networks and Security environments Experience with Cloud related projects The ability to effectively manage project quality and to ensure a consistently high degree of successful project delivery within resource, time and cost constraints. Experience of project initiation, implementation and closure using methodologies suitable for the projects undertaken. Experience of Change Control (change control processes and workflow, raising changes and risk associated with change). Experience of successfully working with stakeholders from many business areas, backgrounds and nationalities to realize project milestones and deliverables. Experience of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, across multiple time zones. Exemplary co-ordination skills and the ability to understand business drivers / IT requirements. Demonstrable experience of managing projects or initiatives in an Agile environment, utilizing agile methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban and SAFe In Depth knowledge and experience of networking technologies with at least the following technologies Cisco, Checkpoint & Fortinet Strong understanding of Cloud technologies Strong ability to lead/minute weekly meetings and provide clear, accurate and consistent minutes. Experience of creating, presenting Project reports and stakeholder updates to senior management Strong Risk and Issue management Technical ability to understand Network Design Guidelines, create equipment lists and create technical solutions based on these guidelines Strong understanding of ITIL and service management principals Extensive experience with liaising with vendors for installations Excellent analytical skills to evaluate and resolve problems and issues. Good communication skills, fluent in English language (written/verbal)

Skills: Good understanding Cloud migration Experience in managing projects related to Azure Virtual Desktop (Only from an on prem connectivity perspective required) Good level of understanding of Cisco Networking Devices, including troubleshooting of routers and switches Service Management managing SLA and service improvement initiatives. General level of understanding of a broad range of IT infrastructure technologies Strong understanding of ITIL.
