Garment Show of India (GSI) is the largest apparel trade show in India, providing a B2B platform for manufacturers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers, brands, fashion designers, and online retailers in the industry. GSI is organized by Saina Events, which publishes the most-read magazine Perfect Sourcing for the apparel and textile industry, as well as Apparel & Fashion for the domestic fashion industry of India. The show is located in Delhi, the central point of all business activities in India.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager at GSI. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, developing and implementing sales strategies, and identifying new business opportunities. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with existing clients, attending industry events, and representing GSI.
Qualifications
- Sales and Business Development: The candidate should possess strong sales and business development skills, including experience in managing a sales team, creating and implementing sales strategies, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: The candidate should have experience in managing and building relationships with clients, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industry Knowledge: The candidate should have a deep understanding of the apparel and textile industry in India, including knowledge of current trends, key players, and market dynamics.
- Negotiation Skills: The candidate should have strong negotiation skills, with the ability to create win-win solutions for both GSI and clients.
- Organizational Skills: The candidate should have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Hindi is required. Proficiency in other regional languages is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, business development, and client relationship management in the apparel and textile industry is required.
Note: Experience in trade shows or events industry is a plus.
