The Lead Software Engineer plays a key role in delivery of ServiceNow solutions and driving strategic transformational change of ABS Procurement and logistic solution. Responsible for design, development, testing, deployment, production support and maintenance of the application developed with ServiceNow within enterprise.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible to gather and review requirements (Feature and user stories), estimate points, create a design document and application interface document by collaborating with various solution impacted application teams.
- Execute specific development methodology to use Procurement Service management (PSM) /Sourcing and Procurement operation (SPO), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM) of ServiceNow for the ABS Procurement & Logistics transformation solution.
- Collaborate with testing team to produce and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.
- In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include testing ATF scripts, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing. Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues.
- Supports the software deployment process. Understanding of how to optimize the ServiceNow data model and structures, proposing and enforcing coding standards and convention across the development teams. An excellent communicator with the ability to talk on a process level with clients and manage the direction of a distributed development team.
- Able to work with cross functional teams with accuracy and strong attention to details. Responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution. Share best practices and be consultative throughout the technical design of the project. Maintain current ServiceNow knowledge through self-study and utilization of available training. Evaluates new features in the platform with ServiceNow releases and the suitability/applicability in the current environment.
Qualifications:
- Expert level design, develop and testing of applications using ServiceNow
- Expert level implementation of Procurement Service Management (PSM)/ Sourcing and Procurement Operation (SPO) modules of ServiceNow.
- Extensive experience with implementation of Asset Management: Hardware Asset Management (HAM) or Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Extensive experience in integration including web services (REST), MID Server and Integration Hub spokes for ERP applications etc.
- A strong background of ServiceNow Client & Server scripting and Flow Designer
- Very good knowledge of Procurement and Logistics business function
- Strong experience with Telco wireless network technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Very strong team player
- Location: Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, Middletown NJ, Seattle WA. Relocation assistance is not available
- Must be willing to work 3-5 days in the office per week
Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math Developer nanodegree or equivalent experience with minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in developing the applications using ServiceNow.
