Job description
2. Respond to incidents for earliest closure
3. Own and resolve Service Requests
4. Work on customer infrastructure improvements by working on NetApp’s tools like Autosupport, ActiveIQ etc.
5. Planning and performing Software and Firmware upgrades
6. Provide customer regular reports and conduct/participate in customer review
7. Work with NetApp’s L3 support team on support escalation and completely own the case till closure
8. Stay updated on the NetApp’s new products and technology
1. Experience in NetApp Storage (Deploying and administering NetApp Storage – CDOT Troubleshooting Performance Issues, performing firmware and operating system upgrades, using storage management tools – OnCommand Unified Manager/ System Manager
2. Experience in Brocade and Cisco SAN Switches e.g. Creation of Alias, Zones and its management. (Preferably)
3. Proficient understanding of NetApp Storage concepts, related management tools and related Storage technologies (Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, Snapmirror) including monitoring and troubleshooting, administration, replication technologies, security hardening and performance tuning;
4. Strong understanding of Storage protocols and technologies (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel switching and networks);
5. Aggregate & Volume setup, provisioning tasks such as thin provisioning, enabling compression, deduplication, snapshot retention, etc.
6. ONTAP monitoring using On-Command Unified manager/System Manager/Log file analysis etc
7. Should be able to do Troubleshoot of H/W & Software configuration Issues (Shelf, Disk & cf, ic, etc)
8. Experience in NetApp’s tools like Autosupport, ActiveIQ would be preferred
Good to have Certifications : NCDA, NCSI
