Lead Embedded Engineer

at our Design Centre, Baner, Pune.

Position Summary: Primarily responsible for leading delivery and development of the extended IDC-BU team. Ensure project deliverables are on time, high quality and are executed with optimum utilization of resources. Responsible for prioritizing team’s workload, understanding causes of delays, conflicts and organizing activities to fix them. Responsible for recruitment, people development, performance assessment, mentor direct reports for engineering excellence.

Essential Qualifications & Experience: Electrical & electronics / Electronics & communication Degree from reputed engineering college with minimum 12 years' experience in R&D/ engineering preferably in Valve monitoring & control instruments, positioners, oil & Gas and Industrial domain. Hands on experience in analog & digital design, microcontroller interfacing, PCB design tools (Altium/ Eagle/ OrCAD), Communication protocols ( HART, Fieldbus, Ethernet, Asi, Device Net, IO Link, Modbus, One-wire interface, Bluetooth, CAN). Hands on experience in 4-20mA source and sink current circuit design, loop power design etc. Hands on experience on serial protocols – RS232, RS485, UART, I2C and SPI. Proficient in design calculations, circuit simulations, DFMA, DFMEA and component obsolescence. Strong knowledge of international EMC, SIL, Hazardous location standards, ATEX and Explosion proof standards. Demonstrated experience in generating new ideas and discover opportunities for improved product functionality and performance. Knowledge and experience in embedded software development , software development life cycle, Embedded C programming , code review and programming standards. Sound knowledge of technologies - smart products (IIOT), sensors (Magnet sensors, solenoids, proximity sensors, etc.), communication gateways. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork. Expected to conduct and lead Technical meetings with cross functional team.

Satara site revenues have grown about ~60% in the last 3 years. Crane is also expanding Global Information Security team in Pune. Crane India Design Centre supports all Crane global business units for their New Product Development and currently manages over 100 design engineers.
