Experience
We are seeking a dynamic Business Intelligence and Operations Analyst with a comprehensive skill set in BI development, data science, and operations management. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, possess advanced skills in data handling concepts and DAX, and have a proven track record in operations, management reporting, and BI roles, preferably within software, IT, or financial services.
Responsibilities:
Power BI Development:
· Design, develop, and optimize advanced BI dashboards and reports using Power BI.
· Ensure the creation of intuitive, efficient, and tailored dashboards aligned with client needs.
· Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
· Collaborate with the global team to bring new visualizations to life from an end-to-end aspect.
· Ensure alignment with all Global Data Reporting needs.
· Work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and present findings clearly and persuasively.
· Respond to report requests for day-to-day business management from Global leadership teams.
Data Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs.
· Collect and understand business requirements, analyze data structures, and optimize them for business intelligence and production support.
· Collect and consume data from systems such as PSA's, Sales force, HRIMS, accounting software, etc.
· Conduct comprehensive analysis of complex data, identifying trends and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
· Produce monthly Executive Data reporting needs.
Data Modeling (Desirable):
· Design and develop data models and transformations to support reporting and visualization needs.
· Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
SQL and Database Management (Desirable):
· Utilize SQL skills to query, manipulate, and manage data within relational databases.
· Ensure efficient and effective data usage to support strategic initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot reporting break/fix issues and implement efficient solutions.
· Develop, audit, and improve reporting process documentation.
Essential experience/requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
· 3+ years of minimum experience in similar role.
· Proven experience in BI development, data science, and operations analysis.
· Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
· Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and DAX.
· Expertise in operations, management reporting, and BI roles.
· Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Experience in creating data-rich dashboards and reports with visualization expertise.
· Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and proficiency in writing DAX expressions.
· Database management, data modeling, SQL querying, data warehousing, and OLAP experience.
· Advanced skills in Power Automate, PPT, Canva, and presentation skills.
· Advanced Excel skills.
· Ability to prioritize multiple projects with concurrent deadlines.
· Organized thinker with strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Quick learner adaptable to rapidly changing business environments.
· Experience consuming data from systems such as PSA's, Sales force, HRIMS, accounting software, etc.
