About Us: Ducom Aerospace specializes in space, defense, drones and robotics. Our products are used by leading organizations around the world, including ISRO, NASA, US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, Northrop Grumman, LEOS, BRAHMOS and others. This position will be in a new division of the organization specializing in robotics, automation and sensing.
Your Role: You will work within a fast paced technical team handling the development of advanced robotic and sensing products. This position will be a hands on engineering role with plenty of room for creativity and growth. Work Experience You must have a solid background in SolidWorks A strong grasp of GD&T, manufacturing and finishing processes is required Experience designing Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Robots or other complex/heavy machinery is preferred. Work experience of at least 5 years is a must Responsibilities Design and development of electro mechanical systems for automation, test and measurements. Designing and building on design concepts Subsystem detailing and DFM and DFA reviews Participating in hands on product integration for design feedback Collaborate with cross-functional teams to during product integration Analyze system performance and troubleshoot any identified mechanical issues Prepare comprehensive documentation, including calculations, simulations, assembly guides, purchase lists, manufacturing ISO and AS documentation and other technical reports Participate in project reviews Requirements Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) is required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a small and fast paced team Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering truly high-quality Things that will make your application stronger Hands on experience and involvement with end-to-end product building is preferred Experience with SolidWorks Surface Modelling, Sheet Metal, PDM Enovia, DraftSight, AutoCadJob tags
