Job description

The
Systems Engineer will be involved in all technical activities necessary to ensure the systems design is compliant to customer requirements and applicable law and standards, managing sub-suppliers equipment design, its integration and the verification and validation of the solutions. He/She will actively take part in the design enhancements needed to solve problems that arise during production, testing and commissioning.
The System Engineer will be involved in the implementation, verification and validation process for Indian and International tender and project design processes. This design process will include all activities necessary to obtain the approval from the customer and necessary authorities to the arquitecture, design solutions, and related document
of the specific systems, test protocols, etc.
The area of expertise required is in Electrical Traction and Energy Systems (system Engineer)
KEY RESPONSABILITIES: RESPONSABILITIES:
- To be part of the specific design team for each module, even participating in design revisions with end customer.
- To be responsible (shared with the specific experts in CAF headquarters) of the acceptance process of the design (including arquitectures, design solutions, documents, etc.)
- To generate necessary documentation oriented to Customer Design Revisions and Approval process, to provide quick answers to the customer, obtain on time answers from them as well as to anticipate the validation of documents (validation of comments from customer prior to receiving official letters).
ACTIVITIES:
- Review design solutions that are under design, revisit contractual requirements, applicable standards, to crosscheck the correct definition of these solutions.
- Active Participation in the Functional definition and revision process of the corresponding System, with customer and suppliers, at Tender and project phase.
- Prepare meetings with customer with CAF headquarters' teams (who also assist and lead the technical discussions) and assist to the meeting. After these preparation meetings, to generate the ppt files for the official meeting with custome. Write MoM and deal with Open Points of the meetings.
- Receive, analyze and provide first quick answers to the comments/questions received from customer.
- Technical management of supplier of the corresponding System: documentation exchange, requirements compliance, verification and validation process, …
- Generate documentation for the design review of the affected System or module, and for the Homologation process, at Tender and project phase.
- Complete de requirement management lifecycle: revision, implementation, traceability, verification&validation, closure.
- Define the validation process of the corresponding System: definition of test procedures, participation in tests,
- Participate/Lead the validation process of the related subsystem, check the compliance of applicable requirements, analyze the results, close requirements, …
- Participate/lead the projects in a global way (with the assistance of CAF Headquarters) in matters of quality, cost and planning… identifying any kind of risk to be mitigated and also opportunities for the correct development of the project.
- Participate/lead the offer processes that CAF considers to participate in a global way (with the assistance of CAF Headquarters) in matters of quality, cost and planning identifying any kind of risk to be mitigated and also opportunities for the correct development of the project.
- Participate/lead the projects and offers in order to achieve a complete electrical, mechanical and SW integration of all the Doors and LoadiPropulsion and Energy systems in the vehicle.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Qualification: - Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechannical or Electrical Engineering.
Professional Experience: - Experienced (a minimum of 3 years) in railway sector in System Engineering,
- Knowledge in the Indian market and Approval process.
- Experience in management of Electrical Traction and Energy systems suppliers
- Experience in Validation process of Electrical Traction systems.
Skills: - Good skills to communicate and work in group.
- Adaptability to a fast-evolving environment.
- Strictness but fitting to defined and given methodology and instructions.
- Good skills with Excell, Word, Outlook, PPT, Microsoft Project, etc…
To have used in the pass and be familiarised with tools such as DOORs, CATIA, 3DExperience, TRELLO, Program Planner.
- Language: High English language skills, both written and spoken. (Spanish, as alternative, would be favorably considered).
- Availability for frequent travelling within India and also to Headquarters in Spain.
Ability to build a network of collaborators within India.
