The Barracuda Central Intelligence team is hiring for an ambitious and driven Threat Analyst manager. This position is a critical piece of Barracuda’s mission to provide the absolute best in class protection efficacy to our customers. The Barracuda Central Intelligence team is responsible for collecting, aggregating, enriching, and distributing threat intelligence across the company to develop threat detection systems that protect our customers.
This role will have the opportunity to make a large impact on the company and be able to deliver solutions that directly impact customers.
Tech Stack
·Stay up-to-date with the latest email security threats and industry trends.
·Strong practical Linux and scripting skills
·Knowledge of Email Domain [SMTP/DNS/Networking Protocols] will be a plus.
·In-depth knowledge of email protocols, phishing techniques, and email security best practices.
·Familiarity with email security technologies, such as anti-phishing solutions, DMARC, SPF, DKIM, and encryption.
·Strong understanding of cyber threats and attack vectors targeting email systems.
·Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
What you’ll be working on
·Prioritize, delegate, and supervise all engineers’ activities and deliverables
·Hire and nurture an exceptional Analyst team by providing coaching and development opportunities.
·Establish professional and personal goals for the team that align with business objectives. Monitor and manage performance
·Collaborate with the Machine Learning Engineering and Data teams to understand data models, algorithms, and analytics for email security, facilitating effective communication between the content analysis team and data experts.
·Utilize data analysis and reporting skills to help train the team to communicate more effectively with the ML Engineering and data teams.
·Develop and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for the content analysis team, ensuring knowledge sharing and consistent workflows.
What you bring to the role
·Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or relevant work experience
·Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in cyber security roles, with a focus on email security and incident response. 3-4 years management experience
·Previous experience in managing a team of security analysts.
·Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
·Experience managing and hiring for growing Analyst team
·Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
