Job description
Equity Research Analyst The role is defined as 'Sell Side Research Analyst' for mid cap and small cap companies in the Indian Stock market. The incumbent should have in-depth knowledge of the sector assigned to him e.g. Auto and Auto components sector or Banking sector or Infrastructure and Capital goods sector, etc. Business Valuation of the company being researched. Financial analysis of the results, forecasting of the business results. Preparing and sending event updates, results preview, actual results review, expected performance of the company in the next 4-8 quarters. Meet the investor relations managers and CFO of the companies being covered and perform a detailed investment rationale for the company and arrive at target price of the stock. Prepare quarterly sector analysis report. Speed of work is of paramount importance in this job and hence candidate is expected to work late if the job demands especially when the corporate are declaring results every quarter. The candidate is expected to cover investment thesis for 10 companies in the sector assigned to him. Understand the current developments in the companies under coverage and analyze/ publish the expected impact on stock prices. The candidate is expected to travel 4-5 days in a month to meet investment managers of companies under coverage, on-ground research, channel checks, etc.
