Job Title: Social Media Specialist
Job Summary:
As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance the online presence and brand awareness of MetaApply & its University Partners. You will create engaging content/calendar, manage social media accounts, analyze performance metrics, and stay up to date with industry trends to optimize social media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.
- Identify target audiences and create content that resonates with them.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging platforms.
Content Creation:
- Generate creative and engaging content for various social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and other team members to produce high-quality visual content.
Social Media Management:
- Manage and maintain social media profiles, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.
- Schedule and publish content across multiple platforms using social media management tools.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.
Community Engagement:
- Foster and nurture online communities by actively engaging with followers and building relationships.
- Encourage user-generated content and develop initiatives to increase audience participation.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize social media analytics tools to track performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Generate regular reports on social media performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Campaign Development:
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to integrate social media into broader campaigns.
Stay Informed:
- Stay up to date with changes in social media algorithms, features, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement new ideas and strategies to enhance social media effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of popular social media platforms and emerging trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
