Job description
Skills Required for the role of Senior Merchandiser;
1. Communication:
The merchandiser has to communicate with different levels of people in his day to day activities.
2. Planning:
He/she should follow, order requirement, T&A for placed order, arranging work plan for all departments.
3. Sample Coordination:
Sample development is crucial. Merchandiser has to check whether the sample is done as per buyer requirements.
4. Follow-up:
Follow up is the most important task. A good merchandiser must follow up from the sampling to the final shipment of goods.
5. Sourcing:
He/she should source raw material and accessories, suppliers, new buyers.
6. Problem solver:
If there is a problem, the merchandiser has to support the team in order to complete the task successfully in the given period.
