Global Accounting and Product Services: Alternatives Operations supports BlackRock Alternative Investments (BAI) and over $110B of assets globally. BAI takes a dynamic approach to alternative investments, creating investment vehicles that increasingly capitalize on evolving opportunities in fast-changing markets. We offer clients strategies designed to provide returns with low correlations to the broad equity and bond markets, including private equity, real estate equity and debt, hedge funds of funds, single strategy hedge funds, long-only absolute return strategies, commodities and structured products. Our alternative investment capabilities are fully integrated into BlackRock, allowing investment teams to capitalize on the firm’s considerable resources in areas such as risk management, product development, client service and operational support.

Team Overview

The successful candidate will join the Alternatives Client Services team which supports the investor servicing and Transfer Agency oversight of BlackRock’s private placement alternatives products, including hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, private credit, private equity, and real assets and facilitate in providing timely and accurate information to our clients and prospects that is consistent with the established BlackRock brand and messaging. Responsibilities for this position will involve a heavy concentration in day-to-day communications, reporting, group operations and project management initiatives focusing on BlackRock’s alternative product platform. As a key member of the Alternatives Client Services team, this position involves interaction with departments and business lines across the firm.

Role Responsibility

Experience

Competitive experience includes 1 – 3 years of working within a financial services or banking platform, experience with financial securities, private placements, and limited offerings a plus. Demonstrates acumen for financial concepts, ability to speak intelligently and confidently while using applied financial reasoning. High attention to detail, ability to focus, excellent follow-through, flexibility and superior grammar and English skills. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, proactive, able to change directions quickly, and capable of working well with strong personalities. Software skills must include a strong background in Word and Excel and an aptitude for working within proprietary databases.
