What You'll Do on a Typical Day :
- Coordinate monthly close activities for the team so that they get executed in a well-disciplined, consistent, timely and accurate manner with a goal of accelerating the overall close process through the close of the reconciliation process. Prepare/Review reconciliations and monitor the reconciliation process and policy adherence and work with the respective teams for ensuring timely completion of the reconciliations.
- Engage with the regional/local finance teams and shared services (internal – Payroll, GSR Finance, P2P, O2C and external – EXL/JTP).Monitor compliance with Group's US GAAP accounting policies and implementation of relevant standard procedures.
- Oversight of the centralized accounting and reconciliation activities managed out of external EXL shared services to ensure service levels are maintained. Review Revenue contracts with Signing Bonus and the related accounting for amortization as well test Signing Bonus for potential impairment quarterly.
- Prepare journal entries, support monthly, quarterly, and annual processes under tight timeframes. Assist with review, governance, and team oversight activities.
- Coordination of group audits and internal audit activities for the region as well as the group and monitoring and reporting the status of statutory audit for all North America entities and work with the Controllers for any audit support on key issues. Prepare memo for complex accounting matters.
- Work closely with the regional leads for the other finance towers in Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C) to support the market finance teams.
- Perform quarterly variance analysis on Balance Sheet and P&L for reporting.
- Maintain adequate and current documentation in compliance with SOX and Internal Control reporting. Participate in ad-hoc Finance related projects as needed.
- Maintain a solid working knowledge of technical accounting and ASUs. Financial analysis, general analytics, and other accounting activities
What We're Looking For :
- 5+ years of proven accounting and finance experience
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance; CPA/CA is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong accounting and financial acumen with excellent communication skills
- Experience supporting Audits.
- Experience utilizing accounting and finance software (NetSuite and Blackline, preferred but not required)
- Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office applications
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently from leader.
