Job description
We are seeking a dynamic Manager-Software Engineering to enhance our Technology team at Clarivate. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead and innovate within the patent service domain, offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of patent services, working closely with a team of skilled professionals dedicated to advancing our technological capabilities.
About You (Skills & Qualification Required)
B achelor's degree in Engineering or master's degree
Overall 14+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or Software Development Manager.
Minimum 8 years of experience with designing multi-tiered or Microservices Architecture
Minimum 8 years of experience in backend development using .NET or NodeJS
Minimum 5+ years of experience on front end technologies like A ngular, Vue.js , React, JQuery , TypeScript
Good working experience with GIT and understanding on any one of these: Jenkins, TeamCity, and Azure DevOps
It would be great if you also have,
Experience in Python or Golang development.
Familiarity with Cloud technologies, offering a significant advantage.
Understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA), considered highly beneficial.
Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) tools and techniques is desirable.
Interest in exploring and adopting AI/ML technologies to optimize project outcomes.
What will you be doing in this role
In your role as Manager, you will spearhead development teams across various product lines. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing the software engineering team and tech leads, ensuring their performance, professional growth, and the fulfilment of their aspirations.
You will be accountable for:Direct and support a team of 5-10 software engineers and leaders, ensuring efficient task completion, career growth, and alignment with the organizational goals.
Enhance collaboration with technical leads across various projects to eliminate dependencies and streamline processes.
O ffer mentorship and technical guidance to team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
Build strong partnerships with QA, DevOps, and stakeholders in technology and product departments to prioritize quality in each delivery cycle.
Lead the development and evaluation of new architectural frameworks and proofs of concept for innovative technologies.
