Job description
Apt Resources is hiring for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a CCGT Power plant. As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the power plant's operations and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive management team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the overall business objectives
- Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Manage the financial risk and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports, analysis, and insights to the executive management team
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring their professional growth and performance
- Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure
- Participate in strategic decision-making, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and resource allocation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including financial institutions, investors, and regulators
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in financial management, especially in the power generation sector
- Strong understanding of power plant economics, project financing, and regulatory frameworks
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or CFA qualification is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Exceptional leadership abilities and the ability to drive change and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
