We are looking for candidates who have a background in SDN with a passion for networking, datacenter and cloud with demonstrable skills in different cloud architecture environments, virtualization, and data center automation. Ideal candidates should have technical experience in addition to the ability to help customers transform with good interpersonal skills, problem solving capabilities, and most importantly the ability to work in a matrix organization.
Major Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership, assess client current state, and translate best-practice methods to achieve future state SDN Cloud networking and Software defined DC architectures
- Architect Solutions which may include any of the following components (Data Center Design, Networking, Systems Hardware, System Architecture, Virtualization, Systems Management, Network Security)
- Pre-Sales: Engage with customers, qualify opportunities, and develop cloud solutions
- Post-Sales: Develop networking strategies, cloud strategies, designs for private, hybrid and public cloud lead technical implementation working closely with customers/partners
- Implement architectural design with business use cases, trade-offs, and risk mitigation included
Position Qualifications/Requirements
- 10-12+ years experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant inside a software company, preferably with an Internet or Big 5 consulting organization
- Ability to craft and lead Proof of Concept Trials in the SDN & NFVI area
- Background in networking with focus on IP routing, MPLS, Segment Routing, IPv6 & DC technologies (network virtualization / SDN) such as OVSDB, VPP, DPDK , hardware VTEP, software VTEP
- Experience in delivering end to end SDN Solutions within any domain
- Understanding of RAN and mobility solutions is good to have
- Understanding of IP+Optical convergence solution
- Detailed understanding of cloud computing and software-defined networking (SDN) domain
- Good understanding of Openflow, OpenStack, and Virtualization
- Should have good understanding Cross Architecture of SP routing and DC Architecture with MANO as Automation Horizontal layer across SPR and DC Technologies
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning
- Understanding of modern IT production datacenter and Internet (ISP/ASP) hosting operations
- Ability to travel both domestically (travel requirements vary based on role and location)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical training
Desired Skills
- Good knowledge Cisco ASR/NCS family of products and Competitive landscape in the industry (routers/switches/firewalls)
- IP Certifications CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, or JNCP /JNCIE preferred
- Experience programming in various languages (Java, Python, PERL, JQuery, C, etc.)
- Experience in consulting, business systems analysis, end-to-end solution design, development and implementation of large-scale integrated systems
- Automation and Orchestration based on Netconf and Yang
- Virtualization (VMware, RedHat)
- Good written and oral communication
