Job description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team. The successful
candidate will play a crucial role in end-to-end product development, with a focus on plastics, industrial
design principles, and embedded platforms. Proficiency in 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo, and
hands-on experience with simulation concepts are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will also
bring expertise in tooling processes and a deep understanding of manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the mechanical design process for end-to-end product development, incorporating plastics and
industrial design principles.
- Utilize 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo, to create detailed and precise designs.
- Apply simulation concepts to validate and optimize mechanical designs for performance and
reliability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers and embedded
platform engineers.
- Ensure designs align with tooling processes, considering manufacturability and scalability.
- Provide hands-on expertise in prototype development and testing, iterating designs as needed.
- Work closely with SE Industrial Design teams and end users to optimize usability and reliability
- Contribute to design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance design
capabilities.
Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design with a focus on plastics, industrial design, and embedded
platforms.
- Solid hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo/Solidworks.
- Proficiency in applying simulation concepts to optimize mechanical designs.
- Expertise in the tooling process, ensuring designs align with manufacturability requirements.
- Demonstrated end-to-end product development experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design validation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
