Job description
Research and Reporting: Conduct in-depth research on current technology trends, industry developments, and emerging innovations. Generate compelling, well-researched articles and reports.
Interviews and Networking: Cultivate relationships with key industry professionals, thought leaders, and experts. Conduct interviews to gather insights and perspectives for feature articles.
Content Creation: Write and edit engaging and informative articles, news stories, and features related to the tech industry. Develop content that appeals to a broad audience, from tech enthusiasts to industry professionals.
Stay Informed: Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, product launches, and industry events. Provide timely coverage of breaking news and developments.
Multimedia Integration: Collaborate with the multimedia team to enhance content with images, videos, and other relevant media elements. Contribute to the creation of visually appealing and shareable content.
Social Media Engagement: Actively engage with the audience on social media platforms. Share and promote published content, participate in discussions and build a strong online presence. Create social media content to be posted across platforms.
Editorial Collaboration: Work closely with editors, fellow journalists, and contributors to ensure a consistent and high-quality editorial voice. Collaborate on content planning and strategy.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in technology journalism, with a strong portfolio of published articles.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Good video presentation skills, with an interest in video production.
Strong understanding of technology trends, gadgets, software, and emerging technologies.
Proven ability to conduct interviews and distill complex information into clear, accessible content.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to optimize content for search engines.
Proficient in social media platforms and strategies for audience engagement.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities.
Creative thinking and a passion for storytelling within the tech space.
