Role Summary

As Data Analyst you would use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports. You will mainly entail working with the management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segment and expected to have a very good grip on different data streams and address the organization’s data requirements. You are expected to work across functions with other groups in analytics as well as other departments in the company and frequently work on data requests from various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and provide reports & visualizations
• Work with management to prioritize business KPIs and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Work on data models, database design and development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Identify areas of overlap or data gaps that can lead to increased value, either by eliminating redundant processes or expanding existing data models
• Design and develop complex data queries to move and transform data from operational data sources to analytical databases.
• Test all new reports/deliverables and periodically review them for quality control

Key Requirements

• 4- 6 years of experience in the relevant field
• Expertise in SQL, Python would be an added advantage
• Experiential knowledge of Hive
• Working experience with geospatial data will be a plus.
• Proficiency in Data warehousing concepts would be given preference.
