Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities will include:
Capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Role: o Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field o Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration or database architecture o implementing Postgresql database clusters with replication (repmgr/streaming) o Verify logging/alerting and ServiceNow task generation o Upgrade db instances from lower versions to current versions. o Setup authentication of database roles o Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors o Assist with database design and development and tuning queries o Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques o Design maintenance procedures and putting them into operation o Manage database security/integrity and backup procedures o Implement security measures o Test and modify databases to ensure that they operate reliably o Write disaster recovery plans o Experience with Linux environment o Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards o Unix shell scripting skillsJob tags
