Job Title: Performance Analyst - Wind About Employer: One of the MNCs in the Renewable/Energy sector Location: Delhi
Responsibilities: Conduct independent energy yield assessment studies for wind plants using simulation software such as Windpro, Windfarmer, Windographer, or CFD-based models. Extract and process measured raw wind data files from wind mast and I-spin, including data filtration, long-term data correlation with MERRA-2 data, and data recreation. Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams for PCVT (power curve verification tests), ensuring data availability and sensor healthiness. Conduct post-commissioning energy assessment studies to evaluate operational performance. Prepare generation budgets for operating assets, considering various factors affecting energy production. Analyze turbine performance independently according to IEC guidelines. Calculate energy losses related to non-performing turbines and conduct high-level analyses, including power curve studies, pitch vs. RPM studies, and pitch vs wind speed etc. Coordinate with site teams for I-spin installation and maintenance activities. Collaborate with vendors to ensure wind mast maintenance activities are carried out effectively. Skills and Experiences required for this role: Experience - Overall 8-12 years of experience. Adequate experience Wind Performance Analysis or Wind Resource Assessment is needed. Experience with analytics software and simulation software such as Windpro, Windfarmer, Windographer, or CFD-based models Knowledge of Wind Mast Experience with I-spin Education Qualifications - B. Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Science/Information Technology) Proficiency in MS Excel Strong analytical skills - Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights. Effective communication - Capable of conveying technical information clearly to stakeholders. Attention to detail - Ensuring accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting. Time management - Efficiently managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Collaboration - Working effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.Job tags
