Job description
Propulsion System (PRS) VTM, Thermal management simulation and analysis Engineer
Basic Qualifications: · Thorough knowledge of the English language including both written and oral communication · Bachelor of Science in Engineering – 4-year degree – (in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or related Engineering field) · Minimum 2 years of experience in product development (preferably in the automotive area) simulating hybrid and/or electrified propulsion systems · Thorough knowledge of Microsoft or Google office products Strongly Preferred Qualifications: · Thorough knowledge of vehicle Propulsion Systems including transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and electric motors · Thorough knowledge of commercial simulation/coding SW including, but not limited to: MATLAB /Simulink, GT Suite or AMESim · Thorough knowhow about vehicle cooling system and thermal management · Heat exchanger model calibration · General knowledge in thermal actuators control Job Description: · The PRS simulation and analysis Engineer is responsible for using and developing proprietary models to size the vehicle thermal system; · The Simulation Engineer is responsible for the integration of basic control logics of thermal actuators; · Creates and uses pre-processing and post-processing tools and provide support program management; · Compare the model results with test data and correlate the model accordingly; · Communication of the results in oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, Component Engineers and others including Powertrain management is required and a mustJob tags
