What is Alteon Energy? At Alteon, we’re trying to properly electricity 300m rural indians by developing gliders that generate electricity with 1/7th the capex of solar+batteries, helping us create a decentralised power source that can run 24/7. We’re doing this by getting gliders fitted with wind turbines to charge battery packs at high altitudes, where the winds are faster and reliable.
We’ve gotten a grant from Emergent Ventures and are currently pushing toward energy positivity (getting a glider to generate more energy than it spends in a flight). We’re looking for an aero engineer to help out with theoretical modelling, and design. You’d be a great fit if: You can build models for aerial systems, ranging from basic numerical models to SITL (software in the loop) to simulation environments in software like Realflight.
