Job description

Role: Product Owner Location: Chennai, India Temp-to-Perm (12 months) Rate: ₹10,000 per day.

The Opportunity I am currently partnering with a global organisation in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, renowned for its contributions to medical research and developing groundbreaking treatments. This influential business is committed to enhancing healthcare standards through excellence and innovation. They are seeking a passionate and inquisitive Product Owner who can bridge the gap between the customer and development team to ensure that the customers needs are met whilst aligning towards the overarching business goals.

As a product owner you will play a vital role in developing products and services that maximise the capabilities of the customers business units to ensure all decisions are as effective as possible. You will collaborate closely with a range of stakeholders across the analytics and development teams to support the design and development of products/services as well as hyper care support once they are established.

Key responsibilities Understand the customers’ needs and bridge the gap with the development team to ensure that key requirements are realised. Typically, you will be working on up to 4 different products at a given time covering technologies such as Power BI and Machine Learning driven web platforms. Build a detailed understanding of the varying business units and the part their function plays in the organisation. Represent the customer from a development perspective from the product road map to the in-flight support. Collaborate with UX Designers, Engineers and Data Scientists providing constructive feedback whilst leaving the implementation to the relevant teams.

Requirements A proven background in Product Owner roles demonstrating Agile and Scrum delivery. Some experience as a Business Analyst would also be advantageous. A history of working on Power BI and Machine Learning products/services. Strong stakeholder management skills between technical and non-technical teams. Clear English language skills – Written and verbal. An understanding of how businesses utilise data in their decision making and business processes as well as different data structures and patterns. Desirable Knowledge of best practices within software development and the most appropriate technologies. Pharmaceutical industry experience. Knowledge of ML algorithms.
