As “Portfolio and performance analysis team led ” in our “ Portfolio Analytics group ” , you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm
Job Responsibilities
- Provide the best client service experience by understanding our client’s needs and developing relationships across the organization, specifically with Client Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Middle Office, Client Reporting, and others
- Contribute to the department’s efforts of improving systems and technology, by actively participating in projects, requirement gathering and testing of software and system tools
- Maintain high standards of quality control checks and procedures; participate, develop and Preview controls for key business projects and business changes; be a driver of improvements
- Collaborate and think creatively and deliver innovative solutions to our complex client demands, always striving to find ways to improve processes and service
- Identify and correct data and process problems; engage with relevant internal teams to eliminate recurrent problems that impact our deliverables
- Maintain and update the firm’s policies and procedures as required by the performance team
- Perform user acceptance testing and validation on system enhancements and conversions
- Calculate performance returns and performance attribution across product range, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Oversee a broad spectrum of performance measurement & attribution calculations and creating reporting across several regional offices
- Analyze performance and attribution reports, and effectively communicate results to senior management, client portfolio managers and portfolio managers
- Drive the development and implementation of the performance and attribution systems with best industry practices
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of portfolio accounting principles, and performance and attribution methodologies with minimum 5 years of experience including project experience and knowledge of attribution analysis
- Solid analytical ability to research and analyze complex data sets
- Interact and communicate effectively – written and verbal – throughout all organizational levels and roles including a strong client service mentality
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal clients, third party consultants, auditors, custodians and across all employee experience levels throughout the greater organization
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to multi-task seamlessly while rigorously maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Passion for the investments business and financial markets
- Self-starter who is analytical and creative in their thinking; ability to quickly analyze information and creatively reach solutions and execute their implementation
- Strong quantitative skills, comfortable with formulas, performance measurement methodology and risk measures
- Understanding of the various businesses/products within the Asset management & Wealth management space
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Computer Science (or similar discipline) from an accredited, high quality institution preferred
- CIPM/CFA or progress toward designation a plus
