Position : Business Development – Reinsurance Role:
Mid-level and Senior-level Roles Department: Reinsurance (Facultative and Treaty) Roles and Responsibilities: Developing business for reinsurance - treaty and facultative business for overseas regions Finding new market prospects and expanding the RI Book Responsibility to maintain a profitable RI Business Book for respective regions. Working overseas for placement of reinsurance and retrocession business with appropriate rated markets. Identification of opportunities in Property, Engineering, Marine, Aviation and Retro Protection. Negotiating with reinsurers worldwide for competitive reinsurance quotes. Analysing treaties / facultative offers with given set of statistics for better understanding of cover. Research on new developments for products as well as regions. Preparing statistics for the same. Business Networking - visiting conferences and various partners in different countries for understanding their business needs, follow up and maintaining relationships. Servicing client from start to end. From sourcing to placement till the settlement is complete. Providing support in implementation of compliance process. Support Teams: Operations Support and Claims support teams Must Have: Should have worked in the Reinsurance Space Must have strong domain knowledge in the Insurance & Reinsurance Should have experience in developing regions in the RI business Strong Sales acumen Good Communication & Presentation Skills Should be ok for extensive travel to expand and grow businessJob tags
