Roles and Responsibilities

Creates designs on paper then makes a sample in a workshop.

The applicant should have good technical skills in areas such as pattern cutting, grading, and garment construction.

To Create/visualize an idea and produce a design by hand sketching or using computer-based software.

Working with others in the design team, such as buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.

To Create new developments in terms of fabric, prints, and design.

Able to create sketches in Corel Draw/photoshop as well as by hand.

The responsibilities of a designer include: producing concepts, making sketches, and analyzing trends in fabric, colors, and shapes.
