Job Description
The Head of Civil Engineering leads the civil engineering group of large utility scale projects in solar and wind and manages civil engineering team for the engineering deliverables. Work closely with the Project Manager for delivery of project engineering
- Leads the civil and structural engineering group of ground mount utility scale projects.
- Mange Civil and Structural engineering team for the engineering deliverables.
- Work in close association with Project Manager for delivery of project engineering.
- Basic Engineering and Design of civil and structural elements of a typical PV plants and Pooling substations up to 220kV level.
- Framing of civil and structural Technical specifications for the equipment of PV Plants, Pooling Sub stations, Transmission Lines and Power Transformers up to 220kV
- Review of technical offers for Pooling sub stations, Transmission Lines and Power Transformers up to 220kV
- Review of vendors design and documents.
- Engineering Management.
The Successful Applicant
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil is Mandatory with 12 years of work experience
- Experience of design and engineering of civil and structural elements of a PV plant and/or power evacuation system design and engineering
- Expert proficiency in the design of steel structures, especially module mounting structures.
- High level of experience in engineering and design of RCC structures.
- Knowledge of hydrology studies, geotechnical investigations and contour surveys.
- Expert proficiency in the use of STAAD software.
- Hands On Working Knowledge of related software such as AUTOCAD, MS Office package etc.
- Ability to work under strict deadline.
- Knowledge of Hybrid plants (Solar & Wind) would be preferred
- Great communication and presentation skills
