Function: Course Training Creation
Core Function
Sitero is launching its Learning and Development department and is searching for a Training Specialist to help us build, create, and drive content from a Coporate and eClinical product perspective within our Learning Management System. The primary focus for this position as a start will be to leverage various computer, graphic design, and course creation skills to interpret and design what the course portfolio will resemble.
Primary Responsibilities
Creates eLearning courses by:
- Creation of content is the core focus of the position - Developing original and innovative e-learning programs, workshops, and demonstrations using multi-media authoring tools.
- Using knowledge of contemporary learning practices, methods, technology, and resources employed in training and development and process improvement.
- Collaborating with content SMEs to translate business information and concepts into dynamic, impactful eLearning content.
- Editing their own projects and conducting peer review of co-workers projects, as well as conducting quality checks for technical issues.
- Developing documentation, storyboards, narrative scripts, graphics, tests, and scenario props.
- Publishing courseware using e-learning standards such as SCORM.
- Loading eLearning content into the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Reviewing and updating existing eLearning library.
Performs client training for Sitero Products by:
- Designing, developing, and teaching end user courseware to Sitero clients.
- Tracking all trainees within the Learning Management System (LMS) and issues training certificates for all attendees.
- Training all levels of technical ability in a variety of settings (classroom, one-on-one, online, and seminars).
- Assisting in planning, coordinating, and traveling to training events including Investigator Meetings. Client contact is required.
Performs supervisory functions by:
- Assisting in mentoring trainers in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques.
- Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards.
- Assisting in developing new and improved training methods and processes.
- Monitoring the live training operations which includes the Investigator Meeting schedules, live training schedules, new studies, and billable training sessions
- Monitoring the LMS Administrators which includes new client and study schedules, mailbox procedures, and response times.
Contribute to team effort by:
- Serving as a SME in the eLearning development and delivery arena for their training peers.
- Assist in administering users, courses, curriculum, and other areas within the LMS system.
- Designing, developing, and teaching end user courseware for Sitero products to Sitero employees.
- Developing and training courseware for internal training needs if requested.
- Supporting internal training initiatives for new hires and ongoing product training (i.e. new versions or features of each product).
- Working with internal staff to resolve issues
- Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
- Helping others to achieve results
- Performing other duties as assigned
Maintain technical and industry knowledge by:
- Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Previous working experience with ABSORB LMS is highly regarded
Experience
- Previous experience building content and a LMS from scratch is mandatory
- 5-8 years' experience carrying out internal/external training or creating eLearning content.
- Experience working in a team environment where deliverables and timelines must be met.
- Instructional design, curriculum development, or pharmaceutical/clinical industry experience is a plus
- Experience with a range of eLearning and design tools, including but not limited to the below:
- Absorb or Cornerstone
- Adobe Captivate
- Microsoft suite
- Adobe Photoshop
