Job Title: Project Engineer Department:
Operations Location: Noida/Site Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering Experience: •Required: 5 - 7 years of experience in greenfield/brownfield projects. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Responsibilities: •Coordinate basic and detailed engineering with consultants. •Review detailed project plans from the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for alignment with project requirements and resolve differences, if any. •Review detailed engineering from PMC for alignment with basic engineering, specifications, feasibility, etc., and finalize under the guidance of the Project Manager as necessary. •Assist in framing the contract specifications and participate in the technical evaluation of bids to finalize the contractor/vendor. •Oversee work progress to ensure adherence to schedule, engineering specifications, quality, budget, etc.; Escalate for resolution of issues and technical guidance. •Oversee the quality and quantity of the materials used. •Direct and provide technical guidance to the contractors in execution. •Ensure that the project development complies with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and all other applicable laws and statutes. •Participate in the weekly and monthly project review meetings and update the status, challenges, constraints, and resolution options. •Drive execution of the action plan for corrective measures finalized in the project review meetings. •Coordinate with all stakeholders to manage interdependencies. •Propose options to manage unforeseen circumstances such as delays due to climate, external interferences to ensure minimal loss to both the company and the contractors. •Coordinate with Accounts for timely release of payments and escalate in case of delays. •Ensure timely, robust documentation. •Ensure a smooth transition to the operations team by planning training, manuals, etc. 2. Financial Responsibilities: •Assist the Project Manager in preparing budgets. •Ensure adherence to budgets by implementing process standardization, value engineering, and effective project management. •Ensure timely, accurate contractor bill processing by coordinating with internal teams and escalate issues whenever necessary. 3. People Management: •Support recruitments for the team, where required. •Support HR in delivering initiatives such as online training, goal setting, performance appraisal, etc., for direct reports. •Foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation. •Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team’s capabilities. 4. External and Internal Interfaces: • External: Contractors and vendors, PMC, Local stakeholders, OEMs. • Internal: Technical Services and all related internal teams at Attero. 5.
