Job Title: IT Technician

Job Summary:
As an IT Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure. Your role includes proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, creating and managing maintenance schedules, maintaining parts inventory, creating procedural manuals, estimating costs for labor and parts for industrial equipment, and adjusting schedules to account for emergency work.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance and Work Order Management:
- Create and manage maintenance schedules for IT systems and generate work orders as required.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks to ensure system integrity and efficiency.
Parts Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate parts inventory for IT equipment and systems.
- Order supplies and parts as needed, ensuring the availability of necessary components for maintenance and repairs.
Documentation and Procedural Manuals:
- Create and maintain comprehensive procedural manuals that explain how to perform specific IT tasks and operations.
- Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant personnel.
Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Estimate costs of labor and parts for the maintenance and repair of industrial IT equipment.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for IT maintenance and upgrade projects.
Schedule Management and Emergency Response:
- Adjust maintenance schedules to accommodate unexpected emergency work or urgent IT issues.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, ensuring minimal disruption to IT services.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with the IT team and other departments to ensure cohesive operations and maintenance efforts.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external vendors or contractors as required.
RequirementsEssential Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role, with a strong background in IT maintenance and operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with IT management software and tools.
