About the role
Collaborates with Director ESP Engagement to ensure Governance, Contracts and Transitions of Global External Service Providers. In addition, support Director ESP Engagement to develop, communicate and implement ESP strategies.
Responsible for ESP performance (quality, compliance and productivity) and ESP audits in collaboration with other PS&PV functional teams.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Efficiently manage contracted pharmacovigilance services outsourced to ESP covering all operational aspects (contractual, operational, financial performance, metrics, forecasting).
2. Responsible for managing global PS&PV external financial requirements and budget for assigned ESP/location. Identify issues and propose mitigating plans to facilitate decision-making and prioritization of activities.
3. Responsible for ESP governance meetings, issues/escalation management and tracking
4. Responsible for Transition of activities to ESP and adherence to Global ESP GOP.
5. Support implementation of ESP performance management tools and systems in consultation with different stakeholders including Functional Heads, Quality Assurance (QA), Information Technology (IT), Procurement, Finance and others (as appropriate)
6. Periodic monitoring of outsourced scope of services and ensure contractual commitments are met consistently.
7. Support Functional Heads to drive quality, compliance and productivity at ESP sites.
8. Facilitate and manage effective communication at leadership levels between the two organizations for accuracy, completeness and integrity of business.
9. Act as a liaison for exchange of ideas/proposals/target assignments for their completion and logical conclusion to achieve highest efficiency, productivity and compliance for all outsourced activities.
10. Support partner organizations during audits and inspections for logistics, documentation, CAPAs and corresponding audit compliance with closure of finding (if any), alert Novartis management of pending compliance issues, audit findings at partner site.
11. Act as delegate for Director ESP Engagement on ESP operational issues.
12. Responsible for implementation of process improvement initiatives at ESP sites.
Role Requirements
• 8 to 10 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or relevant experience in pharmaceutical company.
• Third party management experience
• Significant experience working with cross functional and diverse teams
• Demonstrated success in project management and implementation of strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good planning, organizing and interpersonal skills
• Negotiation, conflict resolution, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Good presentation skills
