What's the role

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement tools and frameworks enabling developers to quickly build, test, deploy, and monitor production applications
• Design infrastructure and tools that can scale
• Automate everything that can be automated
• Passionate about CI/CD and continually improving our portfolio of services
• Identify and implement new open source and third-party DevOps tools into the development and production environments

Who are you

You are a team-player who collaborates with developers, designers, testers and product managers to create an amazing user experience. You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle. You have good interpersonal skills and feel comfortable coordinating efforts across teams. You are a fast learner, with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

On top of this, you bring the following to the table:

• 8 to 12 years working experience in software insutry.
• Experience with DevOps techniques and toolsets such as:
• GitLab
• CI/CD
• AWS, k8s, and Docker
• Splunk
• Grafana
• Terraform/Cloudformation
• Hand on working experience in software development using Java, Ruby, or Python.
• Proficiency in Linux
• Knowledge of software testing requirements and methods - testing process, principles, techniques
• Clear understanding of modern microservice architectures

In this role you be part of the Observability Tools group. We focus on integrating best-in-class SaaS monitoring solutions with in-house developed applications to provide HERE's development teams with a premier monitoring platform. Our platform allows developers working in multiple languages on applications deployed in AWS cloud and K8S environments to easily instrument their applications allowing them to utilize metrics, synthetics, logging, and tracing capabilities to support their applications.
