About Us Business Unit: Data Science The Data Science practice has been growing at a rapid pace by delivering contextual and action-oriented insights to some of the largest commercial banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and investment banks around the world. We are looking for data science professionals who are hands on, passionate about data and have the ambition to drive disruptive changes to global business models. Data Science Role: Assistant Director, Data Science • Lead a range of data analytics projects, focusing on generation of high-impact insights, data engineering, and self-service analytics in the financial services industry • Provide technical guidance (including contribution in a hands-on capacity) for in-depth analysis, data modeling and insight generation using SQL, Python, BI tools like Tableau, Power BI etc. • Work directly with clients and internal business units, build a strong understanding of the underlying business to develop BI tools that translate to actionable business-centric insights • Strategize and ideate the solution design. Develop UI mock-ups, storyboards, flow diagrams, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes • Solid technical background with a strong understanding of data platforms, data warehouse architecture as well as experienced in using cloud ecosystems like GCP, AWS, Azure etc. • Ensure continuous improvement and refinement of analytical solutions and algorithms. • Supervise data analytics teams, manage client relationships, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. • Contribute to the growth of the data science practice by building POCs, authoring technical blogs, contributing to knowledge sharing sessions etc. Work Experience 8+ years of relevant experience in data science and analytics, preferably in Financial Services Experience in leading and managing data analytics teams Hands-on expertise in data engineering (SQL, Python) and BI development (Tableau, PowerBI etc.) with a focus on data analysis and modelling. Experience with deploying data analytics and ETL/BI solutions within cloud ecosystems like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure Experience with financial datasets and strong mathematical background. Exposure to financial metrics datasets and asset classes. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a business and financial aptitude. Education Masters in Science or Engineering disciplines such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc. Preferred - Professional certifications on tools/technologies listed aboveJob tags
