Job Profile - Purchase Engineer.
Job Description:
1) Liaise with Plant Managers to understand their current and anticipated demand for goods, services and works. Integrate these requirements into the Procurement Plan;
2) Follow the procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and services and optimum value for money. Deliver competitive cost for operations
3) Put a strong follow up and action plan on all purchasing and sub-contracting decisions, negotiate with external suppliers and sub-contractors of large purchases to secure advantageous
4) Understand the Drawing of solar power plant & Prepare BoQ requirement necessary to commission the plant
5) Develop and maintain a commercially sound Supplier List, survey the market for new supply sources including non-traditional ones and maintain the 'Approved Supplier List'.
6) Chase/follow up with suppliers to provide best quotation as per Bill of Quantity
7) Chase/follow up with suppliers to provide on time delivery of materials on site
8) Chase/follow up with officials necessary related to solar plant to provide necessary approvals of designing & delivery of solar power plant during execution
9) Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and contractors, manage relationships and building effective partnerships;
10) Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improve opportunities;
11) Track/maintain of records of all material at site during & after execution
12) Ensure that the monthly procurement reports and cost saving/ cost avoidance statistics are reported on-time to Management;
13) Undertake tasks, activities and assignments at the direction of the Manager/ Head of Procurement;
14) Support Organizational goals and objectives; To achieve the KPI target set by Manager/Head of Procurement/Director
15) All other necessary actions or task have to completed set by Head of Procurement/Director
Education: Engineering/ Diploma degree
Experience: 2 Years Experience of relevant work
