We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join ABL Group in Mumbai, India. If you are an accounting professional and solution-oriented with an eye for detail, then this could be you.

What you will be doing.

As our Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day finance activities within India, ensuring and providing accurate financial, and operational information and support.

In this varied role, you will not only take the lead on finances but also play a pivotal role in assisting and coordinating with ABL offices worldwide. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Record daily transactions in the system regularly.
  • Follow up for timesheet and expenses from staff and approval on NetSuite.
  • Prepare invoices, dispatching and uploading invoices on Government & client portals.
  • Regular follow-up with clients for payment. Updating and Maintaining data on Side Trade
  • Filing of claims/notices where the client goes into liquidation/ restructuring etc.
  • Registration on the client portal and helping in the bidding process.
  • Review of purchase invoices from Inter-Company, freelancer and 3rd party suppliers and taking their approval from Project Managers
  • Maintain healthy cash flow and help in paying group charges regularly.
  • Managing and reconciling bank balances on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Filing of monthly GST returns, Quarterly TDS returns, Company law returns, FEMA returns and Profession Tax returns.
  • Liaising with various Government departments in case of any refund/notice etc.
  • Maintain Financial Files and records as per the local laws.
  • Amending registration on various government portals in case of any change in name/address etc.
  • Maintaining Petty Cash and reporting it on a timely basis.
  • Prepare monthly and annual payroll calculations.
  • Assist with monthly accounts and routine finance reports, budgets, analysis and cash flows as and when required.
  • Assist in year-end statutory accounts, and schedules, and assist in Statutory, Tax and Transfer Pricing audits.
  • Support the Regional Finance Director and Regional Managing Director as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The role is based in Mumbai, India and the incumbent needs to have the right to work and reside in India.

Flexibility to work hours out with the usual working hours from time to time to meet the demands of financial reporting.

What we are looking for.

We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate who demonstrates financial and office management skills with a strong attitude to work and adapts to a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and proactive in managing a varied workload. In addition, you:

  • Qualification – Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
  • Minimum 2 years and maximum 5 years of relevant and acceptable work experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferably with formula-driven worksheets and accounting software
  • Good understanding of profit and loss
  • High degree of computer literacy to include competence in current Microsoft applications and file management.
  • Solid understanding of current accounting standards and a good understanding of cost/management and reconciliation of cash, debtors and creditors,
  • Experience with Direct and Indirect Tax Law and its filing, audit activities and reporting, payroll, budget and analysis, accounts payable and receivable.
  • Should have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
